Sanju Samson and Ravichandran Ashwin have admitted to being in awe of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s batting during his debut Indian Premier League season. With a strike rate of 206.55 in the seven games he played for the Rajasthan Royals, Suryavanshi dominated the 2025 Indian Premier League.
In addition, he became the youngest hitter to score a century. In addition, this hit broke Yusuf Pathan’s record for the second-fastest century in league history, which he had previously achieved for the same team. Samson acknowledged that he was shocked by the quality of his shot-making.
“I witnessed him hit a six. The small kid got lucky, I thought, but it continued. In a conversation with Ashwin on Kutti Stories with Ash, Samson said, “The quality of the shots also really shocked me.”
Suryavanshi broke several records to reach his first IPL tonne in the video that is given below. In the end, the Rajasthan Royals easily won by eight wickets after chasing 210 with twenty-five deliveries remaining. The 14-year-old left-handed batter scored 101 of those runs.

Where the devil did this fourteen-year-old kid come from?: Ashwin
Speaking about the same subject, Ashwin recounted an instance during a Chennai Super Kings game versus RR in which Suryavanshi outwitted Ashwin’s tactical skills, leaving him absolutely perplexed.
His hitting isn’t the main issue. From around the stumps, I bowled one ball. I bowled it slowly to see if he would go big after he hit that to the covers. However, he simply screamed for a single towards mid-on while waiting for the ball. What the devil, I thought, where did this 14-year-old boy come from? I made my IPL debut eighteen years ago,” Ashwin said.
Suryavanshi, who recently toured England with India U19, appeared to be playing well in the 50-over matches. In the five-match series, he scored 48, 45, 86, 143, and 33 runs. His next appearance will be when the Under-19 team, captained by Ayush Mhatre, travels to Australia.
