At least his part of the job is going well; Harry Brook won this third consecutive toss as England captain and decided to bowl in the cloudy weather at the start of the third ODI at Chester-le-Street.
With a 2-0 deficit and a victory necessary to salvage the series, England substituted Jofra Archer for Olly Stone in their assault.
They will chase for the second straight game, and although the batsmen have struggled to keep up with the tempo of one-day international cricket, Brook expected a young team to perform well.
“50 overs is a long time to bat.” Guys have been selected based on their ability; we don’t intend to modify the reason they are on their side. I want them to carry out the work they have done for their counties in the real world.”
Due to ongoing health issues and injuries, Australia had to make two changes while on tour. Along with Adam Zampa, who was ill, Mitchell Marsh claimed Travis Head was “a bit sore” and would miss the game. The stand-ins were Sean Abbott and Cameron Green.

“We’ve got a real good side out today, and a chance of winning the series,” Marsh stated. “It’s about rocking up and trying to win a game for Australia.”
