An 18-member roster for the Ranji Trophy 2024–25 season was revealed by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) in advance of their first game against Saurashtra. From October 11 to 14, Saurashtra will play Tamil Nadu. It’s important to remember that Mumbai, the eventual champions, defeated Tamil Nadu in the semifinals of the previous season.
The captaincy job has been given to R Sai Kishore, who guided the team during the previous season. It was his first semi-final lead since the 2016–17 campaign. The team’s vice-captain is N. Sandeep Warrier and Baba Indrajith, two of the team’s most important players, appeared to have recovered from their injuries. Indrajith will attempt to repeat his typical best in the batting area, while Warrier will spearhead the bowling assault. Both of them had hamstring injuries during the Duleep Trophy, which they participated in for India C. Sundar of Washington is also unavailable for the opening game.
