Five players from the Indian squad led by Rohit Sharma who won the 2024 T20 World Cup were invited to appear on the iconic Indian chat program The Great Indian Kapil program, which is hosted by well-known comedian Kapil Sharma. As part of the Indian team, Rohit was joined by Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, and Suryakumar Yadav.
In an entertaining mimicking section, Kapil asked the cricket players to guess the name of the celebrity based on the impressions they got from one of the other guests. It was up to Rohit to guess the name of the renowned MS Dhoni based on Axar’s movements on his placard.
For the act, Axar, a left-handed all-rounder, adopted a right-hander’s posture. It looked as though he had connected with Dhoni’s famous World Cup winning six at Wankhede in 2011. But Rohit missed the cue, since Suryakumar got up from the couch and executed the famous shot flawlessly, after which Rohit correctly guessed the name.
THALA FOR A REASON. 😄🔥

It’s true that aesa yaar chhakka maarte hai. This is how every player hits a six. Thode alag tareeke se kar. After Axar finished his emulation, Rohit said, “It’s time to act in a different way.”
“Dikhau, kya? Dikhaata he. Turant pakad lenge: Should I take the risk? That’s what I’ll do. With confidence, Yadav said, “[Rohit] will be able to connect the dots at once,” getting up from the couch to retrieve the bat from Axar.
“Arey bhai, toh helicopter ghuma na (Should’ve imitated the Helicopter Shot),” Rohit snapped back, leaving both the onstage cricket players and the audience in splits.
By Suryakumar, Rohit is called Ghajini.
Given how forgetful Rohit is most of the time, Suryakumar made a funny comparison between him and the character from the renowned Bollywood film Ghajini during the same episode.

Like Ghajini, Rohit has frequently forgotten the playing eleven for his team during tosses, and he has also forgotten electronics and other paperwork when leaving hotels on cricket tours.
