In the current three-game series against New Zealand, Team India suffered a crushing defeat in the second Test. In Pune, India had to tie the series after losing the first Test in Bengaluru. But instead, the team lost the series because they were unable to accomplish this.
For the Indian team, particularly the hitters, it was a day to forget. After being bowled out for 156 runs in the first innings, India had to chase down 359 runs in the second innings. The team lost the game by 113 runs after failing to achieve this goal with a mere 245 runs.
Virat Kohli’s performance was particularly forgettable.
Kohli scored 17 runs in the second innings before being sent packing to the pavilion, despite only scoring one run in the first.
Following his dismissal in the second innings, a video of Kohli went viral. The video showed Kohli walking back to the dressing room while striking a water box with his bat to vent his fury.

India continues to lead the WTC rankings.
India remains at the top of the World Test Championship standings after 13 Test matches played. With eight victories, four defeats, and one draw, the team presently has 98 points. But with 12 Test matches completed, Australia is now just 90 points behind India.
squad India will play the New Zealand squad in the third Test match of the current series starting on November 1 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
