The remaining purse money for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) going into the IPL 2025 auction was 51 crore. They kept six players: Ramandeep Singh, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, and Harshit Rana. Since KKR just needed apprentices who could perform the job and weren’t too expensive, they were unable to use RTM cards with the core players group setup.
On the first day of the auction, seven players were purchased by the IPL 2024 winners. Their expenditure of 23.75 crore on the Southpaw was an indication of their confidence in their seasoned player, Venkatesh Iyer. Their raised children, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, were returned to them.
They bolstered their bowling assault and invested 10.05 crore in both all-rounders going into the second day. In the IPL 2025, players like Spencer Johnson and Rovaman Powell will wear the purple shirt, and Manish Pandey will return to the KKR camp.
