At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia and India are playing the Boxing Day Test. The series stands at 1-1 after the third Test ended in a draw, making the fourth Test vital for both teams. After Australia batted first and scored 474 runs, India finished Day 2 with 164/5.
Over 78,000 people attended the third day of the MCG Test, while iconic Formula One driver Oscar Piastri was seen at the Boxing Day Test in MCG.
In addition to going to the game, he was spotted navigating the MCG with the Buggy camera. For those who don’t know, Piastri was the fifth Australian to win a Formula One Grand Prix. Despite being employed by an English firm, the McLaren driver said he takes great satisfaction in flying the Australian flag.
“I feel like I represent Australia when I drive; it’s a really cool opportunity, and it’s great to have another Aussie on the grid next year with Jack Doohan,” Piastri said on Fox Cricket.
“It’s a lot of fun to be on a British team, and there’s a lot of banter when the Ashes are on, but it’s really cool to represent the country,” he continued.

In other news, India had a strong start to Day 3 but lost Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja when they walked back with scores of 28 and 17, respectively. Together, Nitish Kumar and Washington Sundar scored more than 120 runs for the eighth wicket, saving the side from more problems. At the end of the 111th over, India is 34/8 and 12 runs behind after losing Washington Sundar’s wicket off Nathan Lyon’s over. They even managed to rescue India from the dreaded follow-on scare.
