India women will play Ireland women in a three-match ODI series soon. On January 10, 12, and 15, the two teams will face off in three ODI matches. The Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot will host all of the series’ matches, it is important to note.
It was declared before to the series that Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of India, would not play in the ODI series. The star player missed the past two Twenty20 Internationals due to a knee injury she suffered during the home series against the West Indies last month, but she was able to play three ODIs after recovering.
The series versus Ireland will include Harmanpreet Kaur rested.
Reports that she has been told to report to the NCA in Bengaluru. In addition to Harmanpreet, Renuka Singh Thakur has also been rested for the Ireland series. It is important to note that the series will be Ireland’s first-ever bilateral trip to India and will be included in the 2022–2025 future tours calendar.
Ironically, however, Ireland women have lost all 12 of their ODI matches against India women thus far, and they will be looking to break their curse. India’s women’s team will be captained by Smriti Mandhana in the next series against Ireland. Alongside Pratika Rawal, Uma Chetry, Jemimah Rodrigues, and numerous other celebrities, Deepti Sharma will serve as the series’ vice captain.
The India women’s team will aim to record another victory and extend their winning streak against Ireland in the first ODI, which is set for January 10.
