Deepti Sharma, an all-around player for the Indian women’s team, has long been a key member of the squad. Deepti just joined the 100 ODIs club in women’s cricket after being included in the second women’s ODI against Ireland.
In 99 WODIs, Deepti has scored 2143 runs at an average of 34.56, including one hundred and twelve half-centuries. With the ball, she has taken 124 wickets at an economy rate of 4.19 at an average of 27.50. Having reached the 100 ODI milestone, Deepti shared her experience and the significance of the milestone for her.
“I had a dream about playing for India.” Following my selection to the team, I started to feel anxious. All of the elders are adults, I thought. I wish to be one of them so early in life. I started playing when I made my debut. I’ve learnt one thing, namely that you should be cool and composed. ‘You should be in your first or last match, and I will give you 100 percent,’ all my seniors have always said, Deepti Sharma stated in a video released by the BCCI.

I’ve always found a career with responsibility: Deepti Sharma
Also, the 27-year-old discussed how she has considered her position on the squad to be a duty. She discussed her ability to bat at any position on the squad as well.
“I’ve always been able to find a responsible role. I’m psychologically prepared to bat in any number of positions. In batting, my greatest accomplishment was hitting 188 runs. I had no idea this kind of thing would be filmed when I was playing. These days, the domestic circuit is hosting a lot of matches. According to Deepti Sharma, “a variety of players are coming and playing for India.”
