Suryakumar Yadav, the star batsman for India, recently spoke out about his friendship with Hardik Pandya, an all-rounder. Many spoke out about the possible dynamic shift between Hardik and T20I captain Suryakumar when Axar Patel was selected India’s vice captain and Pandya was fired.
Notably, Pandya will captain Suryakumar Yadav in the next Indian Premier League. Suryakumar claims that he and the star all-rounder from India have a wonderful relationship.
“We have had a really wonderful relationship. For a very long time, we have been playing [together]. I can still clearly recall our first performance together in 2018, when I returned to the Mumbai Indians, and it remains the same to this day. It’s just that I have more responsibilities [here]. cited Suryakumar as saying, “I can get to be quiet and relax for a little bit when we go back to franchise cricket.”
On the pitch, though, we’ve been close friends, and we know what we want from the India squad moving ahead. That extra duty has been placed on Axar. He has been with the team for a very long time, and we witnessed his performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Hardik is a member of the leading group at the same time. We make decisions about the team’s future while we are seated, and he is constantly there on the pitch. Many of our captains are on the ground,” he continued.
I have four years of experience playing under Gambhir, thus I am familiar with his methods: Suryakumar Yadav
It is important to remember that Gautam Gambhir led the Kolkata Knight Riders when Suryakumar Yadav made his debut in T20 cricket. Suryakumar acknowledged that he had a wonderful friendship with the former India batter when discussing their relationship.
“I have four years of experience playing under Gambhir, so I am familiar with his methods. We know what we must do, even if we don’t talk to him. We are making progress with him, even if he was absent from the South Africa tour because he was training with the Test team. He provides players autonomy and permits them to express themselves. He knows what goes through a player’s mind, so he keeps things straightforward. “He maintains a positive atmosphere and keeps things light,” Suryakumar remarked.
