In Match 6 of the Champions Trophy 2025 match between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Taskin Ahmed gave his team an outstanding start by dismissing Will Young with a ripper in the opening over of their defense.
The fuller delivery, which began from the fourth stump line, went through the space between bat and pad and struck timber.
Leaving Will Young with nothing to do but watch the ball smash onto the stumps.
Following the dismissal, Taskin Ahmed spun away in celebration, clearly hyped up.

Kane Williamson leaves early.
Kane Williamson, a former Black Caps captain, took Young’s place. He nicked a 148.8 kph Nahid Rana delivery to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim, ending his own brief spell in the middle. Williamson attempted a drive but failed, and the ball took the edge, quickly putting New Zealand behind two.
In their allocated 50-over quota earlier in the day, Bangladesh managed to score 236 runs at a cost of nine wickets. Najmul Hossain Shanto, the captain, scored the most runs (77 off 110 deliveries). In addition to him, Rishad Hossain struck 26 off 25 and Jaker Ali added 45 off 55 to give the score some respectability. With a four-wicket haul and career-best ODI stats of 4/26, Michael Bracewell was the Kiwis’ most impressive player.
