Shikha Pandey and Marizanne Kapp, the pace combo for the Delhi Capitals, destroyed the Gujarat Giants’ batting lineup in Match No. 10 of the current WPL 2025, limiting them to just 127/9. Gujarat failed to put up a substantial score, despite a late effort by Bharti Fulmali. The Capitals had an easy chase and won by six wickets with 29 balls remaining.
The team captained by Meg Lanning took advantage of a green wicket and seaming conditions by choosing to bowl first after winning the toss.
Harleen Deol (5) and Phoebe Litchfield (0) were both removed by Kapp’s strike in the fourth over.
Shikha made matters worse for the Giants, who were already suffering at 16/2, by dismissing Beth Mooney (10) and Kashvee Gautam (2) off consecutive deliveries in the very next over. Her spell made sure the opponent was behind early in the game, even though she didn’t get a hat-trick.

Delhi wins by six wickets.
The Gujarat-based team’s batting collapsed as teenage bowler Titas Sadhu bowled captain Ashleigh Gardner (3) and Deandra Dottin (26 off 24) made a brief appearance before being dismissed by Annabel Sutherland. Gujarat was struggling at 60/6 at the midway point and faced the prospect of being bowled out before 100.
But Bharti Fulmali retaliated with a light tap. In her undefeated 40 off 29 balls, she hit four boundaries and two sixes, the only ones of the innings. She helped Gujarat reach the 100-run milestone by stitching a vital 51-run stand for the seventh wicket with Tanuja Kanwar (16). Kanwar’s innings was cut short by a run-out, though, and the team was ultimately limited to 127/9 in their 20 overs.
The Capitals suffered a slight early setback as captain Meg Lanning (3) fell cheaply while chasing 128 for win. But Delhi was well-positioned with to Shafali Verma’s 44 off 27 balls, which included three sixes and five fours. With an undefeated 61 off 32 balls, Jess Jonassen then assumed responsibility and made sure there were no more problems. Even though they lost Sutherland (1) and Jemimah Rodrigues (5) in the process, Delhi easily won by reaching 131/4 in 15.1 overs.
