The defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars will square off in Rawalpindi on April 11 to kick off the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). 34 matches will be played in four cities during the tournament, which will end on May 18 at Lahore’s famous Gaddafi Stadium.
The PSL began in 2016 and has since developed into a top T20 league. As the competition entered its tenth season, PSL CEO Salman Naseer spoke candidly about the league’s development and the competitiveness.
With great pleasure, we formally present the schedule for the illustrious 10th HBL Pakistan Super League. In the last ten years, the HBL PSL has developed into a world-renowned competition that features the finest cricket players from Pakistan. This year’s event will feature 34 exciting matchups in four important cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—in addition to well-known international cricket players.
Eleven matches, including the tournament opening and the qualifier on May 13, will be held in Rawalpindi. With 13 games, including the elimination round (May 14 and 16) and the championship game, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will be the busiest location. There will be five matches in each of Karachi and Multan. Additionally, on April 8, the PSL will play an exhibition game in Peshawar.
In an effort to broaden the HBL PSL’s appeal, we are excited to hold an exhibition match in Peshawar before to the tournament’s commencement. This is a big step towards introducing elite cricket to Peshawar, a city that has a strong passion for the sport. Over the years, the league has seen some incredible matches, and we are committed to improving the experience for players, supporters, and stakeholders,” Naseer continued.
