The Delhi Capitals women (DC-W) and Mumbai Indians women (MI-W) are playing each other in the 13th Women’s Premier League match. MI-W has given the opposition 20 overs to chase down a score of 123.
After a few close overs, Amelia Kerr on the pitch to try to find the boundary in the 16.2 over of Minnu’s stint. Kerr tried to flick the ball to the leg side with an aggressive shot after it had been pitched up. Though fate had other ideas, it appeared as though it might glide barely over the infield. Even though she knew she would have to cover a lot of ground to make the catch, Annabel Sutherland, who was in the deep, charged forward without hesitation as the ball soared towards the boundary.
Annabel Sutherland threw herself into the air in a stunning moment,
Diving full stretch to her right and, with perfect time, catching the ball inches from the ground. As soon as Kerr was sent packing and the ball was securely in her outstretched hands, the fans exploded. It was striking, one of those catches that leaves a lasting impression, demonstrating Sutherland’s extraordinary agility and quickness. In addition to giving her team a significant breakthrough, the play solidified that catch’s place in the hunt for the season’s top catch.
