‘I think we have got good momentum going with us’- Shubman Gill on upcoming Champions Trophy final

Team India (IND) and New Zealand (NZ), who have fought fiercely in the past, will square off in the coveted Champions Trophy final. The Indian supporters will be hopeful that the Men in Blue, who have become one of the best teams, win another ICC trophy when they play New Zealand in Dubai.

“We won the T20 World Cup in 2024 after losing the World Cup Final in 2023. Therefore, I believe we are moving along well in this tournament. We’re going to have a really interesting game, and if we win, it would be a fantastic way to wrap up this format for the year, the 25-year-old star continued.

In 2023, Team India advanced to the ODI World Cup final, while in 2024, they advanced to the T20 World Cup final. “It’s a huge chance for us, and generally speaking, we have a lot of responsibility and pressure from our supporters at any ICC tournament or event that takes place. And we advanced to the Final in the last two ICC tournaments we’ve participated in,” Gill said.
