Having won both of their games thus far, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have made a strong start to the 2025 Indian Premier League.
At the Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 1, the squad had a wonderful time playing the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). They dominated the host team the entire game and denied them any opportunity to go near. With 22 balls remaining, Prabhsimran Singh’s incredible half-century helped Punjab Kings win by eight wickets.
Nevertheless, he was fired in a special way. On the first ball of the eleventh over, Prabhsimran, who was batting at 69 runs, attempted a slog sweep against Digvesh Rathi. Despite his forceful hit, the connection was not as clear.
When he caught the ball, Ayush Badoni, who was at the mid-wicket boundary, realised he was getting very close to the boundary. As the two executed a deft relay catch to remove the dangerous batter, he displayed excellent reflexes and flipped the ball to Ravi Bishnoi, who was standing close by. Prabhsimran blasted nine fours and three sixes before leaving for 69 off just 34 balls. Nehal Wadhera (43* off 25) and Shreyas Iyer (52* off 30) easily led their side across the finish line, though, despite this.
