It was courtesy of an extraordinary effort at sweeper cover by Aniket Verma, which brought about the dismissal of Washington Sundar on the first delivery of the 14th over of the run-chase between the clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. Sundar’s majestic innings was cut short by a moment of brilliance by the 23-year-old.
A short-of-a-length delivery outside off was cut uppishly towards Aniket. The fielder was quick to run in from the fence to dive in front and hang on to a truly athletic effect. The final verdict was provided by the third umpire as to Aniket’s hands being underneath the ball on contact with the ground.

It was not intended for the home team, though. In the end, GT defeated SRH by seven wickets with twenty deliveries remaining.
Aniket hit eighteen off fourteen deliveries earlier in the night. When the hosts reached the end of their allocated quota, they finished at 152/8.
Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler gave GT two early shocks, but they bounced back incredibly well to mount a comeback. The away team won with relative ease because to the unbeaten final performances of Impact Player Sherfane Rutherford and Skipper Shubman Gill.
