IPL 2025 Memes: Hilarious Reactions from DC vs RR, Match 32 at Arun Jaitley Stadium

On Wednesday, April 16, the Delhi Capitals defeated the Rajasthan Royals in an exciting IPL 2025 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The thrilling triumph was DC’s fifth victory in six games this season.

Abishek Porel, who batted first, gave it a furious start. In his first over of the match, Tushar Deshpande gave up 23 runs. An unfortunate run-out of Karun Nair resulted from a misunderstanding when Jake Fraser-McGurk (nine off six) fell early. DC reached 76 at 10-over after managing 46/2 in the powerplay. Porel received a 49 dismissal. Together with Tristan Stubbs’ 34* (18), Axar Patel’s spectacular cameo of 34 off 14 deliveries propelled DC to 188/5.

RR had a good start to their pursuit. During their powerplay, they scored 63 runs. Just before the powerplay ended, captain Sanju Samson retired injured after scoring 31 runs off 19 deliveries. Yashasvi Jaiswal was removed for 51 after scoring a brilliant half-century. Towards the end, RR’s hopes were rekindled by Nitish Rana’s 51-run knock. The match went into the first Super Over of the season thanks to Mitchell Starc’s outstanding nine-run defence in the last over.

Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag hit early boundaries against Starc in the Super Over, but RR was limited to 11 by a few run-outs in the last over. Sandeep Sharma was easily hunted down by DC for 12. Following KL Rahul’s seven off the opening three deliveries, Stubbs completed the victory with a maximum over deep midwicket.
