When Steve Smith entered the changing room after leaving the game, he expressed his disappointment, saying: John di Venuto

It was interestingly noted that several Australian batters were out in the second inning while performing the sweep shot. Former captain Steve Smith is one of those individuals who attempted to play an unusual stroke without removing his front foot from the line of the ball and quite cheaply threw away his wicket. His teammates, however, failed to learn anything from it, and several of them tried the same thing and died.

Australia was severely outplayed by India in the second Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, after a respectable start. In the second innings, the master of spin Ravindra Jadeja took seven wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin struck out three batters. It absolutely dismantled Australia’s batting lineup, and as a result, the Pat Cummins-led team could only put 113 runs on the board in their second at-bat. India faced its own challenges but ultimately prevailed by six wickets.

Batting coach Michael di Venuto described Steve Smith tantrum in the locker room after his removal following Australia’s subsequent lacklustre performance.

But everyone in the dressing room was made aware of the cricketer’s displeasure, Venuto said he hasn’t yet talked to the player.

“I haven’t yet discussed that with him or where he is. Yet, he loves and is enthusiastic about these circumstances. He will be disappointed that he hasn’t had the influence he would have hoped just now.

When he left, he was undoubtedly disappointed, and he admitted as much in the changing room. According to Venuto, who was reported by the Hindustan Times, “I think most people would have heard that, so they should have had a pretty good sense of what not to do.

Individuals began attempting to sweep because they lacked confidence in their defence: Venuto

Usman Khawaja’s success in the first innings, according to Venuto, was due to the opening not utilising it as a form of defence. He stated that the other cricketers started to sweep and ultimately lost their wickets because they lacked confidence in their defence. Additionally, he said that it is the incorrect mentality and has to change.

Usman Khawaja performed admirably in the opening innings and has dominated Pakistan and the subcontinent. He picks the balls to do it, but sweeping is part of his game.

“I think that’s what happened near the back end (of Australia’s second innings),” the author said. “It’s smart, he’s not using it as a form of defence. Individuals began attempting to sweep because they lacked confidence in their defence, which Venuto said was the incorrect strategy.

Nida Dar, a bowling all-rounder from Pakistan, has taken 126 wickets in 123 innings to become the greatest wicket-taker in Women's Twenty20 International cricket. On February 21 in Cape Town, during a World Cup match against England, Dar accomplished this remarkable achievement. Heather Knight was decapitated by Dar, who claimed the valuable scalp. In the absence of usual captain and all-rounder Bismah Maroof, she was in charge of the Pakistani team. England scored 213/5 in the allowed 20 overs while batting first, opening the door for the side to win by an enormous margin of 114 runs. Despite the unsatisfactory outcome of the match, Dar was able to establish a personal best. The 34-year-old Anisa Mohammed is second on the coveted list of top wicket-takers, trailing only Megan Schutt and Ellyse Perry of Australia. Both Australian players have taken 122 wickets in 137 and 94 T20 Internationals, respectively. Deepti Sharma of India is seventh on the list with 101 wickets.

Pakistan's Nida Dar has taken 126 wickets in T20Is, making her the highest wicket-taker.
