The playoff race is already over for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). When the two well-liked teams play on Saturday, May 3, at the famous M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the city of gardens, they will have an opportunity to make Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) journey a little more challenging.
CSK players were busy working out in the rain at the legendary stadium ahead of the eagerly awaited match. On their official social media accounts, CSK shared a video of Dewald Brevis and Ravichandran Ashwin, among others, making some last-minute arrangements. As the rain got worse, the players had to leave the pitch quickly. The video, which CSK released, has been making the rounds on social media.

CSK have not been able to put on the kind of performances they would have envisaged ahead of the season.
They have only managed to win two games and have lost eight out of the 10 they have played so far. In their most recent fixture, the five-time champions lost to Punjab Kings by five wickets in Chennai. This ended their hopes of progressing to the next stage of the tournament. MS Dhoni & Co. will now look to play for pride in the four remaining games and give opportunities to some of their youngsters to help them get ready for next season.
On the other hand, RCB are within touching distance of a spot in the playoffs. However, they will be targeting a finish in the top two, which would give them two chances of qualifying for the final on May 25. Rajat Patidar’s men are on a three-match winning streak. They have seven wins and only three defeats after playing 10 games.
RCB are currently positioned at No. 3 on the points table, but a win on Saturday will take them to the top. However, they will have an eye on the weather, as there is a forecast for rain and thunderstorms in the evening.
