On Tuesday, May 6, during Match 56 of the 2025 Indian Premier League between the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans, Sai Kishore struck in consecutive overs to dismiss Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya in alternate overs. Kishore made an outstanding recovery in his second over after giving up 18 runs in his first two overs with no wickets.
While trying to go inside-out to a delivery that didn’t really spin enough for the dynamic batsman to get enough room to generate enough power, Suryakumar (35 off 24) was caught at long-off. Shahrukh Khan, a fellow statesman, clung to a simple opportunity. On the third delivery of Kishore’s fourth over, Hardik (one off three) left the game. After a frantic slog across the line, Shubman Gill caught him as he slipped off a top edge.

Kishore ended up with figures of 2/34 in his four-over spell. Captain Hardik’s wicket also meant Mumbai lost half their side in the innings. Earlier in the evening, GT had won the toss and opted to bowl first. They were successful in sending Ryan Rickelton (two off two) and Rohit Sharma (seven off eight) within the powerplay.
Rashid Khan and Gerald Coetzee emerged as the standout bowlers for the visitors. MI ended up putting 155-8 at the end of 20 overs. Will Jacks top-scored with 53 off 35 deliveries. A win for either side will help them strengthen their chances for a top two finish.
