On Tuesday, December 2, UAE National Day (Eid-Al-Etihad), the ILT20 Season 4 will get underway. The six-team, 34-match competition will end on Sunday, January 4, 2026, with the final.
With the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup set for February–March 2026, the largest T20 league in the Gulf has shifted from its customary January–February calendar.
“We are happy to confirm that the International League T20 Season 4 will begin on the UAE National Day – Eid-Al-Etihad – which is one of the most significant days on the UAE calendar,” said Khalid Al Zarooni, Chairman of the ILT20 and Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Cricket Board.
“On UAE National Day, we honour the United Arab Emirates, which is home to millions of ardent cricket fans and people from all over the world.
We are truly honoured to be part of the UAE National Day 2025 events, which coincide with the fourth season of the ILT20, the largest T20 league in the region.
“We believe the 2 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 tournament window is ideal for the International League T20 Season 4 after extensive discussions with all our stakeholders,” stated league CEO David White. In order to give the players competing in both the ILT20 and the T20 World Cup time to get ready for national duty, it was crucial that we begin and conclude Season 4 well in advance of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which starts in early February. Furthermore, we believe that teams will have the best chance to access a larger pool of players during the December–January timeframe.
With exceptional broadcast and internet numbers, Season 3 was a huge success as cricket fans took pleasure in an improvement in the game’s calibre. In front of a crowded Dubai International Stadium, the teams gave it their all over the very intense 34-tournament matches, which ended with the Dubai Capitals winning the match in the final over. As we move on to Season 4, we are totally committed to having an even greater influence.
Among the top T20 players were Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Jason Holder, Alex Hales, Fakhar Zaman, Lockie Ferguson, David Warner, Rovman Powell, Dasun Shanaka, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, James Vince, Shimron Hetmyer, Tom Banton, Romario Shepherd, Tim Southee, Tim Seifert, Matthew Wade, Jason Roy, Adil Rashid, and Adam Zampa during ILT20’s Season 3.
In an exciting final contested in front of a packed audience at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, February 9, 2025, the Dubai Capitals defeated the Desert Vipers to win the dazzling trophy.
