Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the Rajasthan Royals (RR), chastised the bowlers for their weak play in the current IPL 2025. After a terrible season, the squad has been eliminated from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The batsmen’ work was made more difficult by the bowlers, who were thrashed in the majority of the games, thus the head coach blamed them.
RR is now in second-bottom place in the standings after winning only three of their last twelve games. It was frustrating that RR lost the majority of their games even though they had some excellent batters.
In certain games, the youthful openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal performed admirably, but the club might have won with a little help from the middle-order batsmen. Dravid said that they would investigate the problems they had this season and return with greater vigour the following year.
We haven’t been able to bowl well, either in terms of limiting the runs or taking wickets, if we look at the season-long statistics. In nine of ten games, we are chasing, and the goal is always 200-210-220. Even though we are getting off to a strong start thanks to our openers, we are unable to complete the run chase. Therefore, we need to improve on these areas next season, including our bowling and fielding, where we are losing catches. Dr. David.
That’s the nature of the game: Rahul Dravid
Furthermore, Rahul Dravid praised the batters and their efforts in the tournament as they played some quality cricket. RR did get some good starts, and some of the players chipped in as well. The head coach mentioned the efforts of Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel during the interview.
“To be fair, all of them had good performances through the season. It’s not that they didn’t. Riyan played some very good knocks, Dhruv we saw today played a terrific knock, probably Hettie at the back end maybe missed out this season, which was a bit tough on us, but that can happen. I mean that’s the game. That’s the nature of the game,” Dravid concluded.
