At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, in Match 64 of the IPL 2025 between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Sherfane Rutherford put an end to Mitchell Marsh’s incredible century with a spectacular running catch.
When he tried to loft a length delivery over the covers, Marsh, who had been in explosive form, wanted to add more runs to his total of 117. He was unable to gain the distance when the ball was thrown around the sixth stump and went high.
With a victory in this game, the Titans would reach 20 points and maintain their lead in the IPL 2025 standings.
Stationed at backward point, Rutherford rushed in and completed a spectacular catch with a flawless dive forward. Marsh’s outstanding 64-ball innings, which featured 10 fours and eight sixes, came to an end at that moment.

In their 20 overs, LSG amassed a huge 235 thanks to his outstanding effort. Nicholas Pooran also contributed quickly, smashing 56 off just 27. The pair scored 121 runs from 52 balls together as a result of their aggressive hitting style.
