[WATCH] IPL 2025 Final: Romario Shepherd gets PBKS Shreyas Iyer to bring RCB closer to win

Romario Shepherd struck in his first over to eliminate Shreyas Iyer for a solitary run off a couple of deliveries in the 2025 Indian Premier League final between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Earlier in the game, RCB scored 190/9 after being sent to bat first. Kohli earned the most points with 43 off 35. Rajat Patidar (26 off 16), Liam Livingstone (25 off 15), Jitesh Sharma (24 off 10) and Romario Shepherd (17 off 9) all contributed with useful cameos.

In terms of PBKS bowling, Arshdeep Singh (3/40 in four overs) and Kyle Jamieson (3/48 in four overs) each took six wickets. Vijaykumar Vyshak (1/30 in four overs) was the most economical bowler for the Iyer-led team.

since of this writing, the win appears to be a formality for the Bengaluru-based team, since PBKS has already lost seven wickets and requires 45 off the last 15 balls. After a 17-year wait, they will finally receive the cutlery.
