Joe Root, the former English captain, gets the potential to even the score with legends Ricky Ponting and Jacques Kallis during the second Test of the five-match series against India.
Joe Root, who currently has 102 fifty-plus scores in Tests, is just one short of matching Ponting and Kallis.
Only Sachin Tendulkar (119) has more fifty-plus scores in the red ball game. The 34-year-old scored 28 and 53* in the series opener and will be looking to reach another milestone in his famous Test career.

England took a 1-0 lead in the series after winning the first game by five wickets at Headingley. The hosts put up a clinical effort, surrendering a little lead but maintaining a tight hold on the match. They ultimately won after chasing a big 371.
Ben Duckett won the Player of the Match award for his 62 and 149. Ollie Pope, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes, and Josh Tongue were other standouts for the English team.
The Stokes-led team would like to double their lead at Edgbaston. They announced their starting XI a few days before the second Test. The management expressed confidence in the squad that played in the opening encounter.
On the other hand, India would have to work hard on implementing certain aspects to perfection in order to compete with England. Shubman Gill & Co. would be aiming to put in a much better performance and compete better against a buoyant English side.
