Virat Kohli and I have been texting sometimes for a few years: Novak Djokovic
In the post-match press conference, Djokovic discussed his friendship with the Indian cricketer. He added that they’d emailed each other a few times and had mutual respect and regard.
“Virat Kohli and I have been texting for a few years and have never had the opportunity to meet in person, but it was a true privilege and honour to hear him talk so positively about me. I definitely admire his entire career, achievements, and everything he has accomplished. I started playing cricket. I’m not very good at it, but cricket is definitely a hugely popular sport in Australia and India… Let’s say I’ll have to work on my cricket abilities before I go to India so I don’t humiliate myself,” he remarked.
