The Round of 16 match between Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur at Wimbledon’s Centre Court in 2025 was star-studded. The All England Club drew a lot of interest from celebrities and players alike. Notably, Djokovic lost the first set 1-6 but recovered to win the following three, 6-4, 6-4, in a match that lasted more than three hours. The victory was his 101st at Wimbledon and moved him within three matches of a record 25th Grand Slam title.

Virat Kohli, the Indian batting great, and his wife, Anushka Sharma, made a rare appearance at Wimbledon 2025 on Monday to watch Novak Djokovic’s fourth-round match against Alex de Minaur. The Indian cricket legend watched from Centre Court as the Serbian made a tremendous comeback to win in four sets. Kohli later complimented Djokovic on Instagram. “What a match. It was business as usual for the gladiator. @djokernole,” he tweeted. Djokovic expressed his gratitude by resharing the story: “Thank you for supporting,” he added.
Later, Kohli predicted Djokovic to win the title and hoped for a Djokovic-Alcaraz final. He described Djokovic as one of the greatest of all time. Meanwhile, Djokovic acknowledged his respect for Kohli, saying they had exchanged texts and that he wanted to enhance his cricket skills before visiting India.

During the same game, England cricket sensation Joe Root was seen at Centre Court, where he met tennis icon Roger Federer. Root, who is presently playing in England’s five-match Test series against India, attended the Grand Slam with his wife. Root was spotted greeting Federer in the Royal Box. Root and his wife Carrie were photographed in the Royal Box prior to the men’s singles fourth-round match between Alex De Minaur and Novak Djokovic. An image of Root shaking hands with the eight-time Wimbledon champion went viral.

3. Rishabh Pant:

Rishabh Pant, India’s standout wicketkeeper-batsman, made a stunning entrance at Wimbledon 2025. Pant arrived at the All England Club with a black striped suit and tie, only a day after helping India win their first Test at Edgbaston.
Pant, India’s vice-captain in the five-match Test series against England, has been in outstanding form. Between matches, he took a break to observe top-tier tennis play on Centre Court. Wimbledon’s official Instagram feed welcomed Pant into the Royal Box. “Welcome to #Wimbledon, @rishabpant.”

Legendary England bowler James Anderson makes a spectacular cameo at Wimbledon 2025, joining Joe Root in the Royal Box to witness the mega tennis match. The retiring fast bowler was all dressed up at Centre Court, alongside colleague cricketer Root and other guests. Anderson was seen shaking hands with legendary tennis player Roger Federer.

The former cricketer was spotted watching the tennis match from the exclusive Royal Box.
