Shubman Gill made Indian cricket history by surpassing Sunil Gavaskar’s record for the most runs scored by an Indian captain in a Test series. This accomplishment occurred during the first session of the last Test of the ongoing series between England and India.
Shubman Gill did so by hitting a back-of-a-length and wider delivery from Jamie Overton for a four through covers on the final ball of India’s 21st over,
his second boundary of the morning and Overton’s second as well.
