Unmukt Chand now 32, last played competitive cricket in July while representing Vegas Vikings at the 2025 MAX60 Caribbean.
He had recently been a part of Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) during Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025. It was highly expected that he would make it to USA’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. However, it was not to be for the top-order batter.
Unmukt stole the limelight with his charismatic leadership and stellar unbeaten 111 at the final of the U-19 World Cup against favourites Australia. He made his debut in the IPL at 18 years and 15 days, and was often likened to his senior Delhi teammate Virat Kohli, who had also led India to Under-19 World Cup glory in 2008.
