Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are ready to return to international cricket after a long absence, as members of the ODI squad for the forthcoming white-ball series against Australia. The two have not played for India since the Champions Trophy, which was held in February and March.
The duo has retired from T20I and Test cricket, leaving ODIs as their only active format.
According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCI) will release the series team on Saturday, October 4.
In terms of the series, the Men in Blue will play three one-day internationals on October 19 in Perth, October 23 in Adelaide, and October 25 in Sydney. This will be followed by five T20Is from October 29 to November 8. The T20I team is expected to be published alongside the 50-over squad.
Rohit and Kohli resigned from T20Is after India won the T20 World Cup last year with a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa. Regarding their decision on the longest format, Rohit and Kohli announced their retirement ahead of the five-match Test series against England earlier this year.
