In the 2025 Indian Premier League season, KL Rahul, a star cricketer for India, made his debut for the Delhi Capitals. He and Kevin Pietersen, a former English cricket player who served as a coach for the team, shared the changing room there. The two had been joking around together all along, and their friendship was evident on TV.
Recalling an instance in which he informed Pietersen’s wife that her husband acts impolitely, KL Rahul revealed the details of their playful exchange. Athiya Shetty, the Karnataka batter’s own wife, actually reprimanded him after seeing the footage of him attacking the DC instructor.
“We joke around differently. He’s a fantastic athlete. And he delivers it to you. There was this video, and DC uploaded it on the Instagram site two or three times when I said something. My wife then asked me, “Why are you being so mean?” He is such a kind man,” KL Rahul said in an interview on the YouTube channel 2 Sloggers.
“I said, ‘Half of what he tells me and does to me doesn’t appear online.'” After 100 times, he has been pursuing my life, and this is the third time I have given. We were in the UK when I protested to his wife. When they invited me to supper, I said, “Tell your husband to be lenient with me.”
KL Rahul remarked, “He treats me really rudely.”
Regarding KL Rahul IPL 2025 with the Delhi Capitals, this was the seventh team the batsman-wicketkeeper had played for. Rahul was the most successful batsman for the Delhi-based team despite starting the season a little late. He amassed 539 runs at an average of 53.90 in 13 games, including a few hundreds and an equal number of half-centuries. Despite his best efforts, DC was unable to make it to the playoffs.
