To finish, Damien Martyn expressed gratitude to the healthcare staff that helped him recover.
For those who are unaware, the former Australian international was transported to the hospital in late December after falling ill.
Martyn’s international career included 67 Tests, 208 ODIs, and four T20Is for Australia during a 14-year period. He averaged 46.37 and 40.80 in Tests and ODIs, with 36 and 42 fifty-plus scores in each format, respectively.
Martyn was a key member of the national team in various bilateral series and global events. He is best recognised for his unbroken 88-run performance in the 2003 World Cup final.
