The Delhi Capitals have failed to leave a mark in any of their three IPL 2023 matches to date. Parth Jindal, a co-owner, did not like this because the Rajasthan Royals destroyed the David Warner-led team in their most recent game. After his team’s 57-run defeat, Jindal made a scathing remark about the batters’ lack of determination in the box.
However, the 32-year-old backed his staff and expressed confidence in their ability to turn things around. Nonetheless, he desires greater accountability from the Capitals, as he believes that the team’s implementation is lacking in certain areas.
“3 games, 3 losses—very difficult to see this @DelhiCapitals—not enough intent with the bat and execution lacking in some areas of the field—we have faith in this group—let’s regroup and start anew on Tuesday—I have faith in this team. Bring on Delhi!” Parth Jindal tweeted on Sunday, April 9, following Delhi’s defeat on Saturday, April 8.
We must find a solution. Warner
Meanwhile, after the conclusion of the match, captain Warner stated that in order to score 200 runs, the team required a better start, but two consecutive wickets derailed the momentum, resulting in a significant loss for Delhi.
“When pursuing 200, you must get off to a good start. It is not possible to take credit away from Trent Boult. He was very talented. It is simply a matter of utilizing your abilities. We had several cut-ons last night. We are trained experts. We must figure this out. It is aggravating to strike into fielders. One of our strikers was also eliminated. “Things just didn’t go according to plan,” Warner said after the game.
David Warner’s innings greatly disappointed Virender Sehwag. He questioned the southpaw’s strike rate and instructed him to play aggressive cricket similar to Yashasvi Jaswal.
“I believe it is time to inform Warner in English so that he can hear it and feel offended. If you are listening, David, please play well. 50 points in 25 shots. Learn from Jaiswal, who homered on 25 pitches. If you cannot do so, you should not participate in the IPL, as Sehwag stated on Cricbuzz.
