In the 25th game of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL), Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad thanks to an excellent spell from Jason Behrendorff during the powerplay.
Mumbai received the start they required from the Australian bowler at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium as they attempted to contain a sizable total.
Jason Behrendorff dismissed Harry Brook, the match’s centurion, in the second over, quieting the home crowd. Despite Brook’s stunning cover drive for a boundary on the previous pitch, Jason Behrendorff successfully induced another big shot from the English batsman with a short pitch. Brook attempted to draw the ball, but Suryakumar Yadav made an easy catch within the 30-yard line as the toss took a heavy edge.
The in-form Rahul Tripathi was the next victim of a stunning catch by Ishan Kishan behind the stumps in the fourth over byJason Behrendorff. Behrendorff completed his opening stint with two wickets for just 18 to pressure the hosts to 42/2 when he bowled his third over.
