Rahul Chahar praised Jitesh Sharma’s six-hitting prowess after the CSK victory. Rahul Chahar praised Jitesh Sharma for his game-changing cameo, while Sikandar Raza scored the winning runs for the Punjab Kings.
The Punjab Kings were in trouble after losing Liam Livingstone following a spirited innings as they attempted to reach the difficult mark set by the host team. However, a sensational cameo by the young Indian dasher Jitesh Sharma turned the match in his favor. Before leaving in the penultimate over of the game, he was on pace to end the game early after scoring 21 runs off just ten deliveries.
Rahul Chahar, a teammate, lauded his remarkable batting abilities, which helped the Punjab-based squad cross the finish line in a suspenseful last over. Chahar clarified the commotion that arose prior to the match’s last delivery. Shahrukh Khan, who was positioned at the non-striker end, was reportedly intended for retirement in favor of Harpreet Brar due to the latter’s speed.
“Based on our batsmen’s performance, we score 200 points in every game. Therefore, it is encouraging for us, especially since Jitesh is in excellent shape. By showing up and hitting sixes on the first or second ball, he is making a difference. I deem it to be excellent. Brar can run faster; therefore, we tried to send him in place of Shahrukh. His sprints have been seen. Nothing else,” Chahar declared at the news conference following the game.
His bowling must progress in the competition as well. Chahar
The Indian spinner also praised Sikandar Raza, who scored the winning runs in Chennai for the Punjab Kings. However, he is hoping that the star all-arounder will contribute more in the upcoming games with the ball in hand.
“He’s doing fine, Raza. If you look at three to four games, he won man of the match versus LSG in one of those games. He received a fifty. He’s doing great, too. He also needs to bowl for us. Although his batting is improving, we still need his bowling to perform well in the tournament, Chahar continued.
