In the Men’s ODI Player Rankings, Fakhar Zaman advances to second place.

Fakhar Zaman, the Pakistan opener in their current five-match series against New Zealand, has risen to a career-high second place in the Men’s ODI Player Rankings after blasting back-to-back hundreds in the first two ODIs.

Thanks to his scores of 117 and 180 not out, which earned him Player of the Match awards in both ODIs, the left-hander rose eight spots on the list under Babar Azam. The seventh position achieved in April 2021 was Fakhar’s prior best finish.

Another Pakistani batsman to move up the rankings is wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, who went from 64th to 58th after scoring unbroken scores of 42 and 54. Meanwhile, quick bowler Haris Rauf climbed 12 spots to 51st after compiling two for 65 and four for 78.

Tom Latham and Daryl Mitchell, two New Zealand hitters, have also advanced significantly. Latham moved up three spots to position 29 after scoring 20 and 98 in the two games, while Mitchell moved up 57 spots to position 51 thanks to his two centuries.

Following his 48 against Oman in the semifinal of the Asian Cricket Council Men’s Premier Cup in Mulpani, Nepal, Muhammad Waseem of the United Arab Emirates has moved up three spots to 62nd among batters on the ODI rankings table.

After taking four for 32 and scoring 40 in that match, Oman’s captain Zeeshan Maqsood has moved up six spots to 43rd among bowlers and three spots to fifth among all-rounders. Bilal Khan of Oman, a left-arm seamer, rose from 36th to 33rd after taking four wickets.

After completing a 2-0 series victory against Ireland in Galle, Sri Lankan players have advanced significantly in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings.

After scoring 100 runs, Angelo Mathews has moved up to position 22, Kusal Mendis has moved up three spots to position 39, and opener Nishan Madushka has moved up 102 spots thanks to his 205-run innings.

After taking seven wickets in the game, Prabath Jayasuriya has moved up six spots to number 13 in the bowling rankings, while Ramesh Mendis has moved up ten spots to number 22 after taking six wickets in the game.

With scores of 95 and 46, Andrew Balbirnie, the captain of Ireland, has moved up Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker, as well.
