Two youths who followed Nitish Rana‘s wife’s car in Delhi on Saturday, May 6, were apprehended by the police.
On Thursday, May 4, Saachi Marwah (Rana’s wife) posted a video on her social media account disclosing that two young boys had followed her car, pursued it, and struck it while she was traveling to Model Town in Delhi.
“Just a typical day on my journey home from work in Delhi! These people began randomly hitting my car! Just for no reason, I was stalked and chased, and when I complained to the police, they told me, “Now that you’re safe at home, drop it!” Next time, note the number, aye aye captain; next time I’ll also get their phone numbers!” she wrote on her Instagram story.
The two accused, Chaitanya Shivam, age 18, a resident of Pandav Nagar, and Vivek, also age 18, a resident of Patel Nagar, were apprehended immediately after the news was made public and it was revealed that the Delhi Police had refused to assist the victim.
At the Kirti Nagar Police Station in Delhi, a case was registered against the two youths who attempted to steal the car of the wife of Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana and followed and harassed her. Saachi was observant enough to record a video of the incident on her phone and post it to Instagram, which resulted in the arrest of the youths.
