Shubman Gill, a star Indian batsman, is enjoying a wonderful season in the current IPL 2023, having amassed 469 runs in 11 matches at an average of 46.90 runs per game. The Gujarat Titans‘ standout batter, Gill, has demonstrated his superhuman abilities off the field as well. This season, Gill has been nothing short of a superhero with his bat.
The 23-year-old will provide the voice for the Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse film’s “Pavitr Prabhakar” character. The popular superhero, Spider-Man, will be included in the Indian setting of the movie, which will be distributed all over India. The Hindi and Punjabi versions of the movie feature the Indian cricketer’s voice.
Shubman Gill is shown glued to the ceiling like a spider in the Sony Pictures India trailer as others call for him to leave.
The batsman eventually makes a dramatic entrance and utters the famous Spider-Man line, “Whether you’re a cricketer or a superhero, with great power comes great responsibility.”
“Shub-Man is now Spider-Man! Thrilled to have the talented @ShubmanGill as the voice of our very own Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, in Spider-Man: Across the #SpiderVerse,” Sony Pictures India posted on Twitter in response to the movie’s trailer.
