Gill is having a dream season in the tournament. He has 851 runs at an average of 60.78 and a strike rate of 156.43. He also has three hundreds and four fifties to his name. He is the IPL orange cap holder for the season. The 23-year-old is 122 runs behind Virat Kohli’s record of 973 runs in the 2016 season and will try to beat him in the final by getting another hundred runs.
The legendary batter also said before the final that both GT and CSK have a lot of batsmen and that the match will be between the two best batting teams in the event.
