Dinesh Karthik says India should leave out Ashwin and play four fast bowlers in the WTC final.

It is still not clear whether Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, who both bowl spin, will be Rohit Sharma’s favourite spinners. In the same way, experienced wicketkeeper and batsman Dinesh Karthik spoke out about India’s best bowling combination for the WTC final.
India and Australia will play each other in the ICC World Test Championship Final (WTC) 2023 starting on June 7 at the Kennington Oval in London. This will be the final match between the two teams. Since the conditions for the final are expected to be better for fast bowlers, there has been a lot of talk about India’s starting XI.
He thinks that Ravichandran Ashwin shouldn’t be in the starting lineup against Australia for the big game. Karthik told the team’s leaders that, based on what he had seen recently, they should keep going with four seamers.
He also talked about Umesh Yadav and said that he, along with Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami, will be the most important third bowler for India in the starting XI. Interestingly, he didn’t hesitate to say that he liked watching Ashwin bowl in the Southampton Test against England a year ago, but Umesh has looked good and is ready to play in the net sessions that have been going on so far. So, the 38-year-old thinks India will choose Umesh instead of Ashwin.
“Don’t play Ashwin. Play four pacers instead. I liked watching Ashwin bowl in Southampton, but is the coach going to do it again? I doubt it. Umesh Yadav’s bowling in the nets has been good. He looks good and feels good in his body. “I’m pretty sure they’ll choose Umesh,” Karthik said on Cricbuzz.

Dinesh Karthik thinks Virat Kohli will keep up his great batting form of late.

When the veteran keeper talks about the bowling combination and the playing XI, it is only normal that he will also talk about India’s best batsmen. Because of this, it is hard to think of anyone for whom the name Virat Kohli does not come to mind. Notably, Kohli has been in great form lately, and he taught us a lot about how to bat during the India Premier League (IPL), which just ended. He made two centuries in a row, one against the Gujarat Titans and the other against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
During his amazing run, Virat Kohli scored 639 runs in the game, which is a lot of money. So, Dinesh Karthik thinks he will do well in the WTC final against Australia. Karthik also said that Cheteshwar Pujara, India’s most reliable batsman in Tests, will be the key to India’s success in the big show.
“He [Virat Kohli] hit well from the very beginning. In the first game, against the Mumbai Indians, he got a score of 70. He looked great, and it was almost the end of the IPL. He showed the group. The fact that he got two hundred is amazing. He’s doing a great job at bat, and I’m sure he’ll get a good score. “If India wants to do well in the WTC final and cross the finish line, Cheteshwar Pujara is going to be the key,” Karthik said.
Not only that, but Pujara has also been in good shape during his time with Sussex. He was also given the leadership of the county to lead it in Division Two of the County Championship, which was a big honour. The experienced batter from Gujarat led his team from the front and scored some great runs for them. So, he is the best batter because he is the one who would have gotten used to the conditions in England the most during his important county experience.
