One of the most talked-about things about the Indian Premier League in the past has been the supposed feud between Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. This is thought to have been going on since 2022, when Jadeja was made captain of CSK but Dhoni took over when the team started to struggle in the competition.
Also, the rumours got even worse when Jadeja joked that fans used to wait for him to get out so that Dhoni could come in to play. But CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan came forward to say that the stories of a split were not true. Kasi Viswanathan said that Jadeja has never had anything bad to say about Dhoni and has never made a complaint about it.
“Jadeja bowled very well, as far as I can tell. When we were hitting, our batting order was Ruturaj, Conway, Moeen, and Rahane. As a result, when Jadeja came to bat, he had 5–10 balls left. In these cases, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. But he knew Dhoni was coming next, and sometimes he would only get two or three balls,” Kasi Viswanathan told ESPN cricinfo.
“Whenever Dhoni went in during these times, the crowd would cheer him on. He may have felt hurt in some way. Any player could have been under that kind of stress. But even though he tweeted about it, he didn’t complain about it,” he said.
Everything is a part of the game. Kasi Viswanathan
When Chennai played against the Delhi Capitals, Dhoni was caught on camera having an angry chat with Jadeja. This made things even worse. Viswanathan said, when asked about that fight, that everyone has always had a lot of respect for Dhoni.
“Everything is a part of the game. People thought I was making Jadeja happy after the last game because they saw videos of it online, but that wasn’t the case. I was telling him what he did in the match. Kasi Viswanathan said, “We didn’t talk about anything else.”
“In a team setting, everyone knows what goes on in the locker room, but no one outside knows. We have nothing to worry about. He has always looked up to Dhoni. After the final, he said, “Dhoni, this one’s for you.” “That’s how much he respects MS,” he added.
