During his time as Pakistan’s Prime Minister, the legendary bowler Imran Khan got into a lot of trouble. He was the first prime minister in Pakistan to lose his job due to a parliamentary vote of no confidence. Imran Khan’s party, Tehreek-e-Insaf, lost the support of alliance partners, which didn’t help him because he didn’t have enough votes to win a vote of no confidence.
In an interview with ARY News on Saturday, Imran Khan‘s old teammate Javed Miandad said that he helped Khan become Prime Minister. But Miandad is upset that the former Pakistani bowler and all-rounder didn’t thank him for his help.
Miandad said in response to a question, “I’m telling you today that I helped Imran Khan become Prime Minister. I was even there when they took their oath. But I never got a call to say thank you, which really worried me. You were supposed to do it, so why did you come to my door at 2?
Miandad said that when he was captain of the national team, he tried to lose by as little as possible. He also said that none of the players had a problem with the way he led the team.
In August 2018, Imran Khan was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He stayed in the job for three years, but the motion of no-confidence stated above ended his time as Prime Minister in April 2022.

Pakistan beat their opponents by limiting them to 227 runs with their star-studded bowling attack. This was their first and only ODI World Cup win to date.
