AB de Villiers, a former South African cricketer, recently talked about the similarities between him and Indian star Suryakumar Yadav.
He stressed that Yadav has taken shots that he has never tried. Experts have found similarities between Yadav and de Villiers because Yadav can play shots from all over the field. Yadav is currently the best T20I batter in the world, and De Villiers has praised him a lot.
The South African legend thinks that Yadav’s cricket career has a long way to go and that he has even more promise to show. The former top player for RCB said that he and Yadav have a lot in common.
“Suryakumar Yadav has a wide range of shots that I never tried during my time as a player. “It’s fun to watch Yadav bat when he’s in the zone,” de Villiers said in an interview with JioCinema for the Home of Heroes show.
AB de Villiers thinks that Yadav can easily change gears during his game, which makes him a really great batter. The former captain of the Proteas praised Yadav’s calmness at the bat, saying that it was a big part of his success. He also said that Yadav’s ability to stay calm lets him move slowly and get himself in the best place for each delivery.
“When he’s sure of himself, he moves so slowly and sets it up so nicely. He gets the ball pretty late in the game. And once a hitter gets that, once they realise that the faster the bowler goes, the more they have to let the ball come to them, it really starts to click, and I think he has gotten that. So, anything is possible. “Sorry about that,” he said.
Yadav’s efforts have wowed the crowds, and he has a crazy strike rate of 175.76 in 46 T20I innings, with three centuries and 13 half-centuries. The talented batter’s effect on the game and his ability to regularly score runs make him a rising star in Indian cricket, and his future looks very bright.
