Tamim has been given a six-week vacation to recover from the injury after his retirement-unretirement drama dominated news coverage in Bangladesh over the past few days. Given that he is seeking medical assistance from abroad, his back problem is now considered to be a more significant concern.

Mashrafe Mortaza’s position as a team mentor during the 2023 men’s ODI World Cup is another topic for discussion, according to Yunus, something Tamim reportedly recommended to prime minister Sheikh Hasina at their Friday meeting.
