Najam Sethi, the former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has been corrected by former India spinner Harbhajan Singh over his remark, “Is India scared to play Pakistan?” Notably, Sethi claimed that India is afraid to play Pakistan because the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) is reluctant to move the location of the forthcoming Super 4 match between the two sides from Colombo to Hambantota.
With a 90% possibility of rain throughout the game, the weather in Colombo isn’t very favorable for a full game. He added that wherever Pakistan is played, India will win.
Harbhajan Singh was not pleased with Sethi’s statement and asked him what he was smoking these days.
I’m not sure what Najam Sethi is smoking right now. He claims that India is afraid and does not want to play Pakistan. India never hesitates to take on any opponent. I’m not sure where this came from. They needed to meet with the Asian Cricket Council to determine the location of the tournament. Whether or not the weather forecast was accurate. We will defeat you, boss, come play us wherever you like,” Harbhajan Singh declared on Sports Today.

The second innings of the preceding match between India and Pakistan was postponed due to bad weather in Pallekele. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has set aside a reserve day for the eagerly awaited match to offset that. Notably, it’s the only game—outside of the championship—that has a reserve day.

PCB sought to relocate matches from Colombo to Hambantota.
Even though the game has a reserve day, efforts will be made to finish it on that day by limiting the number of overs. In addition, if the reserve day is used, the game will resume at the same point.
Earlier, PCB, the tournament’s official hosts, planned to move the games from Colombo to Hambantota due to the impending threat of rain. The request was rejected by the ACC (Asian Cricket Council), and a reserve day was added for the important game.
