Virat Kohli, the star batsman for India, has issued an order instructing all of his friends not to inquire about tickets for the 2023 ODI World Cup, which will start on October 5. Notably, all cricketers have experienced such situations before. 2011 World Cup champions like Virender Sehwag, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Yuvraj Singh, among others, have spoken about their experiences with the ticketing problem at the previous home World Cup.
Virat Kohli consequently requested his buddies not to request tickets this time around on Instagram. In the event that they were unable to obtain tickets, he even advised them to watch the game at home.
“As the World Cup draws near, I respectfully ask that all of my friends refrain from asking me for tickets at any point throughout the competition.
Please enjoy from the comfort of your own homes, Virat Kohli remarked on his Instagram story.
Anushka Sharma, a well-known Bollywood actress who is also his wife, shared the same story on her profile and advised followers not to ask for tickets if Virat Kohli does not respond.
“And let me just add… if your messages go unanswered, don’t ask me for assistance. I appreciate your patience, Anushka said.
On October 4, Kohli is scheduled to return to the Indian team. Due to personal obligations, he returned home between India’s exhibition matches, hence he was absent for the match versus the Netherlands. He will, however, be a member of the group when the Rohit Sharma-led group travels to Chennai on October 8 for their season-opening match against Australia.
Rain forced India to cancel its two practice games prior to that. As a result, they haven’t played much lately, but they should be optimistic about their chances given that the team just recently won a three-match series against Australia 2-1. Following Australia, the squad will play Afghanistan in Delhi on October 11 before hosting Pakistan on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
