Team India had one of its most inspirational runs at the 2011 World Cup, putting on fantastic performances throughout the competition. India overcame Sri Lanka in one of the most famous cricket game finales, and they eventually won the tournament. Yuvraj Singh, an all-around player, was, nonetheless, the man for Team India throughout the competition. Yuvraj put in outstanding performances with the bat and the ball while battling cancer, winning Player of the Tournament in the process.
Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin spoke on the subject and asserted that no one was aware that Yuvraj Singh was afflicted with a terrible sickness.
“Yuvi formerly coughed, and he formerly coughed violently. I used to believe that he was coughing to relieve the tension from the game because he tended to do so in the middle. In a video on his YouTube account, Ravichandran Ashwin said that, “literally, nobody had any knowledge, at least from the junior portion of the team, that he was suffering from a terrible ailment.
“When it first started, I was astonished because I did not anticipate someone who had just won Player of the Series—or, as I would put it, ‘Bharat ka Icon’—to be involved. That was it, really. In my opinion, Sachin Tendulkar was extremely important to Yuvraj Singh’s World Cup performance. I refer to it as Yuvraj Singh’s World Cup because he was present at the center of every situation, Ashwin continued.
