Ritika Sajdeh, the wife of Rohit Sharma, received a heartfelt embrace from Virat Kohli. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14, India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets to extend their winning streak at the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. The wives of some of the players, who had also gone to support the “Men in Blue” in the stadium, were there when the team returned to the hotel following the game.
Both Priti Ashwin, the wife of Ravichandran Ashwin, and Anushka Sharma, the wife of Virat Kohli, were standing close by.
As Anushka watched, Virat hugged Ritika before shaking hands with Priti. Anushka and Ritika were seen several times during the game sitting next to one other and enjoying the action in which India defeated Babar Azam’s team with a commanding performance.

India defeats Pakistan 8-0 to tie the record for most victories against an opponent in the CWC.
After Saturday’s convincing victory in the ODI World Cup 2023, Rohit Sharma and company increased India’s perfect head-to-head record over Pakistan in the premier event to 8-0. Now, in the history of ODI World Cups, this is the joint-best head-to-head record for a side against another. It’s interesting that Pakistan has a perfect 8-0 record against Sri Lanka in the main event.
Rohit Sharma chose to bowl first after winning the toss because of the dew issue. On the strength of Babar’s 50 years of service, the “Men in Green” had built a strong foundation. Pakistani supporters would have anticipated their team to score close to 300 runs by the end of the innings at 155/2 in the 30th over. But Mohammed Siraj fired Babar, and Pakistan’s subsequent events were nothing short of a nightmare. They were bowled out for 191 in just 43 overs after losing their final eight wickets for just 36 runs.
In response, Shubman Gill, who was back in the game, scored four boundaries before being bowled out by Shaheen Afridi. However, Rohit Sharma carried on from where he left off against Afghanistan in the previous game and played an impressive knock of 86 off 63 balls. Virat Kohli missed out after being out for 16 runs. However, India’s third straight victory in as many tournament games came from Shreyas Iyer, who reached his first World Cup half-century and finished the game alongside KL Rahul in the 31st over.
