On October 24 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Game 23 of the current ODI World Cup 2023 featured a matchup between South Africa and Bangladesh. Temba Bavuma, the Proteas’ customary captain, was once again absent as the toss drew near, which posed a surprise to the fans of their team.
Temba Bavuma missed South Africa’s previous match against England due to a stomach illness, and he will again not captain the team against Bangladesh in Mumbai.
Bavuma will sit out the match as a precaution since it has been reported that he hasn’t entirely recovered from the stomach illness he had prior to the England game.
